The purpose of this course is to teach students what the Bible is about: Where it comes from. How it is structured and why. How to interpret it and therefore how to correctly apply the lessons learnt from the Bible. It focuses on what the Bible is, how to approach studying it and the correct way to understand the Word of God. Doctrinal purity is vitally important and results from correctly understanding the Bible.
Paul the Apostle says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
So, we should study the Word of God because we learn that: The Bible is ‘all sufficient’, ‘accomplishes what it promises’, it is ‘authoritative’, ‘complete’, and contains the mind of God and His will for our lives.
This course consists of an introduction and fourteen chapters.
